Wild Waters In Emerald Green
Wild Waters In Emerald Green
At the Train Wreck Trail near Whistler, the Cheakamus River forces its way through a narrow forest canyon as a turquoise-green torrent. The stream rushes between dark rock walls, swirling around boulders and creating bright patches of foam. On both sides, conifer trees rise along the steep banks, their roots anchored in the stone. In the foreground, the current appears most powerful before the river disappears between the trees further downstream. The luminous water stands in strong contrast to the deep forest green and the earthy tones of the rocks.
