Glacier Landscape Near Whistler

Beneath the rugged slopes of the Coast Mountains, a small alpine lake lies surrounded by the glacier landscapes around Whistler. Its dark surface contrasts sharply with the bright rock stretching from the mountainside down into the valley. Around the lake extends a high alpine basin, patterned with green meadows, scattered trees, and open ground. Dense forests climb from the lower ridges into the foreground, meeting the jagged rock formations above. In the distance, more peaks and glaciers rise, their outlines emerging through breaks in the clouds. Shifting light and shadow sweep across the scene, bringing out vivid greens and cool grays while leaving other sections veiled in mist.
